Prior experiences that have shaped you: I started my careers as a QA inspector for an Ohio-based extrusion company, where I learned about the extrusion process, how to read extrusion drawings, and evaluate product quality. Throughout this role, I saw first-hand the value in cross-department collaboration in solving problems rapidly. After college, I moved into customer service and inside sales to broaden my understanding of the business side of the extrusion industry.
Current responsibilities: At MI Metals, I serve as the director of sales and marketing, where I manage our top-tier accounts by building and maintaining relationships, negotiating contracts, and forecasting demand for each facility and our six extrusion presses. I am proud to collaborate across our teams and clients to ensure we are meeting their needs and continually improving our processes.
What you love about MI or Aluminum Extrusion industry: My grandfathers worked blue collared jobs in the steel mills in Youngstown before the companies moved the operations overseas. I remember hearing stories about the boom of the industry from their day, specifically in my hometown. They proudly worked hard every day producing steel pipe and bar in Pennsylvania . I am proud to carry on their legacy with a career in manufacturing – producing high-value components entirely in the USA.
